I’ve been traveling through New York’s JFK airport a lot lately and I’ve noticed that the buttons to call the elevator in the American Airlines Admirals Club lounge have been messed up for over a year. There have been multiple times in which I’ve just stood there thinking that the person in front of me pushed the button, when in fact they didn’t. That’s because both buttons are illuminated like they’re on the move.
Don’t be fooled like me. I’ve now learned to always—no matter where I am, but especially at JFK’s Admirals Club lounge—to push the elevator button even if it’s illuminated so I don’t waste precious time.

Love the tips, but this one is a remote, especially for us non-Admiral Club members AND not traveling to New York much. I’d rather hear about how a peon traveler like myself can find themselves in the Club. Last time I was in New York, but only for 2 hours, I couldn’t see paying $100 for 2 people to use the AMEX lounge.
Yes, this one was remote but I was just seeing how it would do so I can gauge how many AA fliers are on here. Probably won’t go this specific in the future.
