Happy New Year! In the past few days I have seen several videos on US air carriers of many un-masked passengers. Several of the videos were of insurgents returning from D.C.
I thought all carriers were requiring masks. Am I mistaken?
Thanks much,
Frances
They’re supposed to but there’s not much they can do once the plane is in the air
Johnny, we’re currently booked for a 10 day trip to Cabo San Lucas in the second half of February this year. We’re flying on Delta direct from Detroit and everything looks pretty available. What kind of concern should we be undertaking regarding the pandemic and how it may be treated in Cabo opposed to what were used to in Metro Detroit
Hi Paul
My friend flew to Cabo a couple of days ago and said the plane was wide open and no line at customs but it’s a slow week. I do know that Mexico makes wearing masks mandatory and some friends feel safer there
If you are leaving the US be aware of the covid test you need to get back into the US
JohnnyJet: Thanks to you I got a full refund for my round trip this spring. The airlines just notified me that I was to call them, as a change had been made in my flights. When I called, I learned my outgoing flight had been cancelled. They said my options were to help reschedule that flight as well as the return flight. I said that since my flight was cancelled, I preferred a refund. They THEN said that was an option, too, but had not originally offered it until I mentioned it.
I had previously read on your site that if an airline cancels, they should give a full refund—-thanks again.
Johhny, I’ve listened to you on KFI for a long time and always enjoy your insight. Here’s my question, I booked business class tickets on BA through a ticket broker. I had to cancel last April due to covid and rebook for this April. The cruise I was going to take was cancelled again for 2021. As most of Europe is closed or severely quarantined do I have any course of action to receive a refund of my payments?
BTW the election is over, lets deal with Joe.
If BA canceled or severely delayed the flight then you should be able to get your money back. Did you ask your credit card company? Did BA give you a voucher and if so how long is it good for?
what is the name of the travel jacket you endorsed in one of your earlier blogs?
Where can I get it?
Is it available in different sizes and colors. It would save the trouble of another shoulder bag to carry your passport, phone etc

Hey Johnny! I’m new around here and I really like your insight! I’ll be reading more from you! Thanks for sharing! Cheers!
Johnny: Today, April 30, I thought I heard you say on the Leo La Porte Show that a Scott-E-Vest travel vest could hold a laptop computer. Did I hear correctly? I have a MacBook Air M1 laptop and will buy such a vest if the laptop would, indeed, fit inside one of the pockets. Can you advise?
Hi Craig, Yes! I wrote a post for you https://johnnyjet.com/how-to-save-money-with-a-secret-third-carry-on/
