I’ve only been to Sint Maarten once and it was just to transfer by boat to Anguilla. I’m sorry now that I didn’t know how popular Maho Beach is among tourists, plane-spotters and AV geeks, who crowd here to watch the incoming planes land. It’s ridiculously scary how close the planes and people come to each other, as seen in this video of a Boeing 727 landing at Princess Juliana Airport. Would you stand underneath it?

Been there three times and it’s so much fun to be on Maho Beach and watch the planes land and take off :) If you ever go to St. Martin / Saint Maarten, go here :)
Did you ride the fence during takeoff?
Don’t forget, topless ladies drink free at the Sunset Beach Bar and Grill.
Stayed at one of the hotels right on that beach…it was amazing to see how close the plane comes in while you wade in the water.
